Custom Heirloom Jewelry Boxes, at straightfromtheheartwood.com offers unique hand-made jewelry boxes and other custom decorative wood creations made from rare and exotic hard woods, mostly burl and other intensely grained and highly figured hardwoods of various species. All hand carved creations are solid wood pieces, not veneers, and colorations are entirely natural, with only clear polyurethane preservative applied.

We make many of our heirloom quality decorative pieces in the shape of a heart, or with heart shapes carved into the work, and often with extraordinary natural bark or organic edges incorporated into these exquisite gifts in order to help express a very special and deep personal feeling, which is an integral part of the "giving" of such a beautiful and very unique gift. Nature in its most magnificent form creates unparalleled beauty and we attempt to capture and accentuate this splendor in some manner in all of our creations.

Each work of art is unique and hand carved, and each piece of wood is selected and purchased for its organic beauty, be it in the natural bark edge, unusual burl, intense graining, or incredible natural coloration in the wood.
